  • 1 lb (450g) chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add sliced chicken and cook until lightly browned. Remove from pan.
  • In the same pan, sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until soft.
  • Return chicken to the pan and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, sugar, and salt. Stir well.
  • Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • If needed, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir in to thicken the sauce.
  • Serve hot with rice or noodles.
