  • Topping:
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
    • 1 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice.
  • Mix in the pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Spread the batter evenly into a greased baking dish.
  • For the topping, mix together sugar, brown sugar, and chopped pecans. Sprinkle over the batter.
  • Carefully pour hot water over the top (do not stir).
