Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Stir in the cooked ground beef.
  4. Stuff each pasta shell with the meat and cheese mixture and place in a baking dish.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, then cover with foil.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly. Remove foil for the last 10 minutes to lightly brown the top.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or sausage for variety.
  • Prepare the dish a day in advance and refrigerate for a time-saving option.
  • For a vegetarian version, skip the meat and add more cheese and spinach.
