1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, finely ground
Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until creamy.
Mix in egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using).
Combine flour, salt, and ground freeze-dried strawberries in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
Immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie while warm.
Allow cookies to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Freeze-dried strawberries give a concentrated flavor and color.
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
For extra variety, try white chocolate kisses or other flavors.
