This Shrimp Scampi recipe is a quick and delicious seafood dinner featuring succulent shrimp sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce with a splash of white wine and fresh lemon juice. Serve over pasta or with crusty bread for a restaurant-quality meal at home.

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Cooked pasta or crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  • Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute.

  • Add shrimp, cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

  • Stir in wine and lemon juice; simmer 2 minutes.

  • Season with salt and pepper.

  • Remove from heat, sprinkle with parsley.

 

  • Serve over pasta or with bread.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp for best flavor. Adjust spice level with more or less red pepper flakes. Add grated Parmesan for a cheesy finish.
