Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 20-24 Oreo cookies

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract. Mix until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Scoop 2 tbsp of cookie dough and flatten slightly. Place an Oreo in the center and top with another 1-2 tbsp of dough, pressing edges to seal around the Oreo.
  • Place stuffed cookies on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use a cookie scoop to ensure even-sized cookies.
  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes if the dough is too sticky to handle.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
