Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add ground beef, cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara sauce, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, ricotta, sour cream, and 1 cup of mozzarella.
  • In a baking dish, layer half the ravioli, followed by the cheese mixture, half the meat sauce, and the remaining ravioli.
  • Top with the remaining meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with sausage or ground turkey.
  • Frozen ravioli doesn't need to be thawed before layering.
  • Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving for easier slicing.
