Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold & cubed
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

 

  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together both flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat cold butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Divide dough into large balls and place on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 9-12 minutes until golden brown on the edges but soft inside.

 

  • Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use cold butter for a thick texture.
  • Do not overmix the dough.
