This healthy chicken and broccoli stir fry is a delicious, protein-packed meal loaded with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Made with tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and a savory stir-fry sauce, it's a quick and easy dish perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced

  • 3 cups broccoli florets

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated

  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Sesame seeds & green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same pan, add another tablespoon of olive oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds.

  • Add broccoli and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, chicken broth, and sesame oil.

  • Return chicken to the pan, pour in the sauce, and stir well. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

 

  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Swap chicken for tofu or shrimp for a variation.

  • Add bell peppers or carrots for extra color and nutrition.

 

  • Serve with brown rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
