Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or plant-based meat)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (cut into jagged teeth shapes)
  • Lettuce
  • Ketchup and mustard (for decoration)
  • 8 pimento-stuffed green olives (for eyes)
  • 4 toothpicks (to hold eyes)
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles

Instructions

  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat.
  • In a bowl, mix ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties.
  • Cook the patties on the grill or skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
  • During the last minute of cooking, place the cheese slices on the patties to melt slightly.
  • While the patties cook, prepare the burger buns by cutting them in half and lightly toasting them.
  • Assemble the burgers: place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, then add a patty with melted cheese. Arrange the cheese to look like “monster teeth” hanging out.
  • Add tomato slices and pickles to create a face for the monster.
  • Use toothpicks to secure two olives on the top of each bun as “monster eyes.”
  • Use ketchup and mustard to draw details like “blood” or “monster mouths.”
  • Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use slider buns and patties for mini monster burgers, perfect for parties.
  • Customize the decorations with different toppings like bacon for “monster tongues” or avocado for “slime.”
