Perfect for Halloween parties or themed dinners, these sliders are bite-sized, easy to make, and packed with flavor. Ideal for serving to kids and adults alike, they bring both fun and taste to the table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 lb chicken breasts (cut into 12 small pieces)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 12 small mozzarella slices (or mini mozzarella balls)
  • 6 pitted black olives (cut into halves for eyes)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for topping)
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the breading station: in one bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. In another bowl, place the flour. In a third bowl, place beaten eggs.
  • Dredge each chicken piece in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the breaded chicken pieces until golden and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Set aside.
  • Slice slider buns and place the bottom halves on the baking sheet. Add a spoonful of marinara sauce to each bun, followed by a piece of chicken, another spoonful of marinara, and a slice of mozzarella.
  • Place the top buns over the chicken sliders.
  • Melt butter and stir in garlic powder. Brush the top of the buns with the garlic butter.
  • Bake the sliders for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Decorate each slider with two mozzarella balls or slices for "eyes" and use olive halves for pupils, securing them with toothpicks if needed.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

  • You can use pre-cooked chicken tenders to save time.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle a little Parmesan on the tops of the buns before baking.
