This French Onion Beef Casserole is a hearty and flavorful dish featuring tender egg noodles, seasoned lean ground beef, and a creamy combination of condensed cream of mushroom soup and French onion dip. Topped with crispy fried onions, it's perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners.

  • 10 ounces dried egg noodles
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cans (10.75 ounces each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (15-ounce) jar Lay's French Onion Dip
  • 1/2 cup French's fried onions
  • Freshly chopped parsley, if desired

Instructions

 

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and French onion dip into the beef.
  4. Add cooked noodles and mix well to combine.
  5. Transfer mixture to a baking dish and top with French's fried onions.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until heated through and crispy on top.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add shredded cheese on top before baking or stir in some sautéed mushrooms.
