1 lb ground beef
4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, brown the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased casserole dish.
Spread the cooked beef evenly over the potatoes.
In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk, then pour half of it over the beef.
Add the remaining potato slices on top.
Pour the remaining soup mixture over the top layer of potatoes.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese, and bake uncovered for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
