This Creamy Ricotta Chicken Pasta is a perfect blend of tender chicken, creamy ricotta, and flavorful seasonings, creating a rich and satisfying meal.

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 2 chicken breasts, cooked and sliced
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup pasta water (reserved)
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
  • In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add cooked chicken, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in ricotta cheese, heavy cream, and Parmesan. Mix until smooth.
  • Add cooked pasta to the pan and toss to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water for a creamier texture.
  • Cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.

  • Use whole milk ricotta for a richer flavor.
  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra texture and taste.
  • Substitute chicken with shrimp for a seafood twist.
