8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb chicken breast, sliced
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
1/4 cup parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and chicken, season with Cajun seasoning, and cook until done. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Stir in Parmesan cheese, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
Add cooked pasta, shrimp, and chicken back into the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Adjust Cajun seasoning for spice preference.
Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
