This creamy bacon pasta is a rich and indulgent dish featuring crispy bacon, a luscious garlic parmesan sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta. Easy to make and full of flavor, this recipe is perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner or a special occasion meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup pasta water (reserved)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  • In a large pan, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream, Parmesan, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir well.
  • Add cooked pasta and crispy bacon to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste and add more red pepper flakes for extra spice.
  • Can be made with any pasta type, but long noodles work best.
