  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green peppers
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce with the beef and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until smooth.
  • Add the cooked noodles to the cheese mixture, stirring to coat.
  • In a greased baking dish, layer half the noodle mixture, followed by the meat mixture, and top with the remaining noodles.
  • Sprinkle the green onions and green peppers on top, then drizzle with melted butter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned.
