  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • Chocolate kisses (about 36)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each in granulated sugar.
  • Place dough balls on the baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden.
  • Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie after removing from the oven. Cool on a wire rack.
