Discover the ultimate Chicken with Lemon-Caper Sauce recipe! Juicy chicken breasts are seared to perfection and paired with a tangy lemon-caper sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 (6 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ cup cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 2 lemon wedges

Instructions

  • Mix flour and salt in a shallow dish. Dredge chicken in flour mixture, shaking off excess.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove chicken and keep warm.
  • Add white wine to skillet, stirring to scrape up any browned bits. Stir in lemon juice and bring to a simmer.
  • Reduce heat to low and whisk in butter, one piece at a time, until sauce is smooth and emulsified.
  • Stir in capers. Spoon sauce over chicken and garnish with lemon wedges.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour.
