This Chicken Parmesan Pasta recipe combines tender chicken, flavorful marinara, pasta, and melted cheese for a comforting, family-friendly dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 12 oz penne or rigatoni pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add cooked chicken, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  • Add marinara sauce to the skillet and mix to coat the chicken. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce until well combined.
  • Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella cheese, Parmesan, and breadcrumbs (optional).
  • Broil for 3-5 minutes or bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • For extra flavor, use seasoned breadcrumbs.
