This cheesy ground beef pasta skillet is a one-pan recipe perfect for quick weeknight dinners. It features tender ziti pasta, juicy ground beef, and a rich combination of mozzarella, tomato paste, and aromatic garlic. The addition of Worcestershire sauce adds a savory depth to the dish, while crushed red chili flakes give an optional spicy kick. Garnished with fresh parsley, this easy skillet recipe is a must-try for pasta lovers!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups ziti pasta, cooked (see NOTES)
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp crushed red chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley, plus more for garnish
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella

Instructions

  • Cook ziti pasta according to package instructions and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add chopped onion, minced garlic, pepper, and optional crushed red chili flakes. Cook until the onion is softened.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce and tomato paste, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix well. Stir in shredded mozzarella and chopped parsley.
  • Cook until the cheese is melted and fully combined with the pasta. Adjust salt to taste.
  • Garnish with extra parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Cook ziti al dente for best texture, as it will continue cooking when added to the skillet.
  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red chili flakes.
  • Swap mozzarella for other cheeses like cheddar for variation.
