Big Mac Tater Tot Casserole is a hearty dish that combines lean ground beef, Thousand Island dressing, diced pickles, and shredded cheddar cheese with a crispy tater tot topping. Perfect for a quick and satisfying family dinner.

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1 cup diced dill pickle
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups shredded triple cheddar cheese blend
  • 24 oz frozen tater tots
  • Topping:
    • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
    • 1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add diced onion, diced dill pickle, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the beef. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in 1 cup Thousand Island dressing and mayo. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Transfer the beef mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
  • Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  • Before serving, top with shredded iceberg lettuce and drizzle with 1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can use smoked cheddar cheese.
  • Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
