Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Ground pork
  • Egg noodles
  • Butter
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Beef broth
  • Heavy cream
  • Sour cream
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • All-purpose flour
  • Salt & pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
  • Mix ground beef, ground pork, egg, salt, pepper, and nutmeg to form meatballs. Brown them in a skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic in butter, then stir in flour. Gradually whisk in beef broth, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and sour cream to make a creamy sauce.
  • Combine the noodles, sauce, and meatballs in a casserole dish. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt, and use ground turkey instead of beef and pork. Serve with a side of green vegetables.
