  • 1 large round sourdough bread loaf

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and chopped

  • 1/2 lb lump crab meat

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cut a circle on top of the bread loaf and hollow out the center to make a bowl. Set aside.

  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.

  4. Add chopped shrimp and cook until pink. Stir in crab meat and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Reduce heat, add cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, and heavy cream. Stir until melted and creamy.

  6. Season with Old Bay, salt, and pepper.

  7. Spoon the seafood mixture into the hollowed bread bowl.

  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.

  9. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

  • Serve with the leftover bread pieces or crackers for dipping.

  • You can substitute with lobster or scallops for variation.
