  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 1/2 cups M&Ms candy

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add vanilla, egg, and egg yolk, and mix well.
  • Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the M&Ms.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
