  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, divided
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, mix flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and vanilla, stirring until combined.
  • Pour the melted butter into the prepared dish, then pour the batter over the butter without stirring.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  • Carefully pour boiling water over the entire dish, again without stirring.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden and the cobbler is set. Serve warm.
