This Million Dollar Lasagna is the ultimate comfort food, featuring layers of seasoned meat sauce, creamy ricotta mixture, gooey melted cheese, and perfectly cooked pasta. A family favorite that's perfect for gatherings, this lasagna is worth every bite!

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

 

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef, sausage, onion, and garlic over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Add marinara sauce, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, egg, and parsley until smooth.
  • Spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Layer noodles, cheese mixture, and shredded mozzarella. Repeat layers.
  • Top with Parmesan cheese and bake for 40-45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

 

  • Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add a layer of cooked spinach or mushrooms.
  • Make ahead and refrigerate overnight for enhanced flavor.
