Ingredients

Scale
  • Pizza:
    • 1 Pizza Crust (Tiseo’s Frozen Pizza Dough recommended)
    • 1 ¾ cups (about 8 oz) Mozzarella cheese, shredded
    • 2 Roma Tomatoes, thinly sliced
    • 10 Large Basil Leaves
    • ½ cup Pizza Sauce
    • 2 tbsp Butter
    • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Pizza Sauce:
    • 6 oz Tomato paste
    • ¼ cup Olive oil
    • 1 cup Water
    • 1 ½ tsp Oregano
    • ¾ tsp Rosemary
    • ½ tsp Ground sage
    • ¼ tsp Marjoram
    • ¼ tsp Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven according to the pizza crust package instructions.
  • Prepare the pizza sauce by mixing tomato paste, olive oil, water, oregano, rosemary, sage, marjoram, and salt in a saucepan. Simmer until thickened.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and transfer it to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the crust.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Arrange tomato slices and basil leaves on top.
  • Melt butter and brush it over the pizza crust edges.
  • Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Bake according to the pizza crust package instructions until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, bake the pizza directly on a preheated pizza stone.
  • Freshly shredded mozzarella melts better than pre-shredded varieties.
  • Add a drizzle of olive oil on top before serving for extra flavor.
