1 lb ground beef
4 medium-sized potatoes, thinly sliced
1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup milk
1 small onion, diced
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: garlic powder, parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
Season the beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if desired.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Layer the sliced potatoes at the bottom of the dish.
Add the cooked ground beef on top of the potatoes, followed by the diced onion.
In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with milk. Pour this mixture evenly over the casserole.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
