Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Mashed Potatoes:

  • 2 lbs Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cubed

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 1/2 cup milk (or cream)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:

    • Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

    • Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, pepper, and optional garlic until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

  2. Cook the Steak Bites:

    • Season steak cubes with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add steak in batches to avoid overcrowding; sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.

    • Remove steak and set aside.

  3. Make Garlic Parmesan Sauce:

    • Lower heat to medium, melt butter in the same skillet.

    • Add minced garlic; sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

    • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.

  4. Combine:

    • Return steak bites to the skillet; toss to coat with garlic parmesan sauce.

    • Garnish with chopped parsley.

  5. Serve:

    • Plate the steak bites over the mashed potatoes and serve hot.

Notes

  • Ribeye or tenderloin can be used instead of sirloin for an even more tender result.

  • Adjust garlic and parmesan to taste.

  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.
