Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • Cooked pasta or crusty bread, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for about 1 minute.

  • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink, about 2–3 minutes per side.

  • Pour in wine (or broth) and lemon juice; simmer for 2–3 minutes.

 

  • Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately over pasta or with bread.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen shrimp; if frozen, thaw before cooking.

  • Great with linguine, rice, or a side of vegetables.

 

  • Add more lemon juice for extra brightness.
