  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar

  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 8 oz dark chocolate (for ganache)
  • ½ cup heavy cream (for ganache)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed until smooth.
  4. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour into prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  6. For the frosting, beat peanut butter, powdered sugar, butter, and cream until smooth and fluffy.
  7. For ganache, heat ½ cup heavy cream and pour over chopped dark chocolate. Stir until melted and smooth.
  8. Assemble the cake by layering the peanut butter frosting between the cakes and pouring ganache on top.
  9. Chill the cake for 30 minutes before serving.
