These crispy and sweet Churros Poppers are a delightful twist on classic churros, made with a dough of flour, water, and vegetable oil, fried to golden perfection and coated with cinnamon sugar. Enjoy them fresh for an irresistible treat!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 ½ tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and stir in flour until dough forms a ball.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan.
  • Pipe small balls of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towels, then roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispiness, make sure the oil is hot before frying. Test with a small piece of dough first.
