3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
½ tsp salt
¾ cup warm milk
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
½ cup brown sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp cardamom
½ tsp ginger
¼ tsp cloves
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
½ tsp vanilla extract
Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Add flour, salt, melted butter, and egg. Knead until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
Make the Filling: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and cloves.
Roll and Fill: Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter and sprinkle filling evenly. Roll tightly and cut into 12 rolls.
Second Rise: Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Let rise for 30 minutes.
